[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Many blogs overcome this problem by creating a new user role that is only responsible for managing all comments.
WordPress allows blog users to regulate comments effortlessly, and we’ll show you how to do it in this article!
Why Let WordPress Blog Users Moderate Comments?
For larger blogs, comment moderation can be a difficult chore. By delegating comment moderation to blog users, you can reply to inquiries more quickly, eliminate spam, and provide a better experience for your visitors.
This blog user could be a regular commenter on your WordPress site or a member of your customer service staff.
Although WordPress includes a commenting system, there is no way to create user accounts that are solely responsible for comment moderation. To regulate comments, the user must have Editor access to all of your content.
Using a WordPress plugin is the best way to allow people to control comments. This allows you to create a separate comment moderation user role while maintaining the security of your WordPress website.
That being said, let’s look at how to quickly allow blog users to regulate comments in WordPress.
How to add a WordPress Blog Comment Moderator
The Comment Moderation Role plugin will be used to add blog user comment moderation.
The plugin is designed for larger teams that require a completely separate user account for comment moderation. The best part is that it is entirely free and is maintained by our team of skilled WordPress developers.
After activation, a new user position called ‘WPB Comment Moderator’ will be available for you to assign to users.
Simply go to Users » All Users to assign the comment moderation position to an existing user.
Then, tick the box next to the user whose role you want to alter.
After that, simply choose the new ‘WPB Comment Moderator’ role from the ‘Change role to…’ drop down box, and then click the ‘Change’ button.
The user role change will take effect automatically.
When the user logs in, they will only see the comment moderation window.
When creating the profile, you may also create a new user and assign the comment moderation role to the user.
Navigate to Users » Add New and fill out the new user information.
Then, from the ‘Role’ drop down, select the ‘WPB Comment Moderator’ role.
To save your choices and create your new user, click the ‘Add New User’ option.
Take note of how the user’s dashboard only allows them to regulate comments and alter their profile. All other aspects of the WordPress admin panel are hidden.
We hope this post was useful in teaching you how to enable blog users to control comments in WordPress.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
