How to increase your Wordpress site speed

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For several reasons, speed is a highly crucial feature of your website. The search engines utilise this factor to decide your rankings. In addition, visitors are more inclined to leave a slow website. It is very crucial to speed up the WordPress website.

Fortunately, a performance plugin can help you speed up your website. These plugins are intended to optimise your website for faster load times.

I’ll show you how to use the Asset CleanUp plugin to speed up your WordPress website today.

Installation

This plugin is not going to be an installation that suits everyone new to WordPress. But if you are serious about learning and making your website faster, then it’s highly recommended.

You can go download it with the keyword Asset Cleanup by Gabe Livan in your WordPress dashboard plugin area. Alternatively, you can go directly to Gabe Livan’s website to take a look.

I highly recommend this plugin to semi-professionals and professional users only. This is simply because the settings and the configurations are comprehensive enough but might not seem simple enough for new users with little or no prior knowledge of programming.

Love & Hate Relationship

A speedy website is what we want for a variety of reasons. We want a multi-functional website. We try to install this plugin and use it and try another plugin and use it, all without ever knowing how it works from behind.

Does anyone care about how many JS (javascript) or CSS (Cascading style sheets) a plugin can slow down the speed of your website? These sound alien to most beginners, but it’s good to know and learn.

Js and CSS. We love them but we hate them.

Without them, it would be almost pointless to install any plugins at all, but if we use them, it will slow down our websites. And some of these plugins call for a lot of HTTP requests that are also slowing down our websites.

Solutions by Asset Cleanup

Gabe Livan came out with a solution for this matter. If you don’t already know that’s a front-end view and backend view, this plugin will guide you here as well.

Frontend View is where your visitors will see and in the backend view, this is your WordPress dashboard.

This plugin will let you have to choose which plugin runs in the frontend or backend. It even has a backend guide to show you how comprehensive you can go to customize it. (an example here would be Gutenberg Editor, if you don’t use, why load it?)

Here is the list of functions that you’ll find useful.

  • Plugin Usage Preferences
  • Test Mode
  • Optimize CSS
  • Optimize JavaScript
  • CDN: Rewrite assets URLs
  • Site-Wide Common Unloads
  • HTML Source CleanUp
  • Local Fonts
  • Google Fonts
  • Disable XML-RPC
  • CSS and JS Load Manager

Summary

Honestly, speed is the status you need on your website, if not the most crucial. It helps to please visitors and increase the ranking of search engines. However, finding out what slows down your website may be difficult.

I, therefore, advise the use of a WordPress speed test tool like GTMetrix, Pingdom, or Google PageSpeed. Please test your website with these tools first before you install the plugins and after you use them with the plugins. That’s how you can make the best use of it.

The Asset CleanUp plugin removes unneeded HTML code, which is one of the greatest ways to speed up your website.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
